I had just sat down at my kitchen table with my IPad to pull up the recipe I had researched the day before. I opened the recipe screen just as my phone rang. I was holding my phone in my right hand and my left was resting on the table not touching the IPad. Suddenly, the IPad made a sound like Siri had turned on and the screen changed to a search screen for John 13:7!
I was so stunned, I just stared at the screen trying to figure out how and why that happened. I then read the scripture which says, "You do not realize now what I am doing, but later you will understand." Now mind you, I hadn't touched the IPad, I never said the words "John" or "13" or "7" or anything approaching Biblical. I touched the back arrow and my recipe returned.
I met Michele 45 minutes later as we were going to see "Sausage Party," an adults only cartoon about food (don't ask). We stopped at a red light next to an empty lot where someone had hung a sign on the fence that had a picture of a cell phone. I looked closer and the sign said (in part): John 15:16: "You didn't choose me, but I chose you."
To quote Blanche Devereaux, "Oh Lord, I'm in trouble!"
