Alynwa's Mind: It's Crazy in There

 My muse has been on strike for weeks.  I started an April & Illya story that I had wanted to post on Valentine's Day.  It's still only 4 paragraphs long and I don't like 2 of them.  I have an angsty story rolling around in my head featuring Napoleon and every time I sit down to start it, I can't.  Very annoying.  I know my muse will return, but I have no idea when.

I thought it was just that I couldn't get my head to wrap around an MFU story, so I tried to think of stories in the other fandoms I write.  I got zilch, just a blank virtual page.

Writer's block sucks.

I feel like I haven't been around much lately.  I can't believe it's mid - September!  I hope everyone is doing well. 

I had my last wisdom tooth pulled two weeks ago, so I haven't been swimming while I waited for my mouth to heal.  I finally feel normal again so I will restart my routine on Monday.


I thought I would use the time out of the pool to write, but sadly, this post is the most writing I've done in weeks.  Apparently, my muse went on vacation, an extended one.  I'm now demanding that she (or he) get her/his butt in gear because my challenge is back in play and it would be beyond tacky to not have anything to post.  Plus, I have to get back into the other challenges.  Muse, please come back!  I miss you terribly.


I hope not too many cousins were affected by Harvey and Irma.  Unfortunately, my second home, ST. Thomas in the US Virgin Islands, was slammed.  Many of my friends there and a couple in the British Virgin Islands have lost all their possessions, but mercifully, almost everyone I know, including a friend with a 14 days old baby, is physically unharmed.  However, there are three people whom no one has heard from yet.  I'm hoping it's because they haven't been able to get to a place where their phones work.  They don't have Verizon, which is the only phone service to have a consistent signal.  Sometimes, you get what you pay for.
