Some of you know that I recently relocated to Henderson, Nevada in the Las Vegas Valley.  This area has grown so much in the last 20 years that you can't tell where one town ends and the other begins.

I don't know if any of you have seen Carolyn Goodman's disastrous interview yesterday with Anderson Cooper, but I was shocked at the sheer stupidity of it.  She displayed no common sense at all and a stunning lack of concern for her constituents.

Look, I get it.  People are suffering economically, emotionally and physically.  That cannot be denied.  It is reality.  However, what is also reality is that Covid 19 is highly contagious and dangerous.  I believe that one of the reasons it spread so quickly in this country is that it was presented as something only people over a certain age and/or having underlying health conditions were at risk of contracting.  Healthy 20-somethings felt like there was  nothing to worry about and headed off to Spring Break.  Another reason it spread is that one can be infected, be completely asymptomatic and unknowingly spread the virus to others.

So when Las Vegas Mayor Goodman said it's the responsibility of individuals to know when they are sick, I was astounded.  When she said she wants everything open, but she has no plan or path forward because it's not her job to do so, I was gobsmacked.

There are people in this Valley who agree with her and are angry at Gov. Sisolak because he hasn't set a date to start reopening the state.  IT'S A VIRUS, PEOPLE!  IT'S NOT ON A FIXED SCHEDULE.  Sisolak is being responsible by relying on the science and the scientists, unlike the knucklehead in the White House who keeps throwing out dates like Easter and May 1st because he thinks they would be "beautiful dates."

Yes, I want to go out to restaurants, to movies, to concerts again and I want to gamble and play Bingo.  I look forward to that day, but I know it's no time soon.  For Goodman to literally offer up the people of Las Vegas as a "control group" is unconscionable.

And I understand that people are up against a wall financially and have bills to pay that a $1200 stimulus check (which I haven't gotten) isn't enough.  Instead of marching around with guns (who they gonna shoot, the virus?), they should be asking the Covidiot in charge how come Canada is giving its citizens $2000 a month and you think $1200 is going to last 10-12 weeks in the US?

I was just discussing with a friend a few days ago that people are no longer being taught the skills that teach one to think and it really shows.

Okay.  Rant over.  As you were.

When did Steve Carell become hot???

I've seen him on several shows lately talking about his new movies (Beautiful Boy, Welcome to Marwen and Vice) and he is now quite fine!  When did this happen???  The salt and pepper beard along with the salt and pepper hair, the glasses.  Whoa, baby!

In certain men, I love an odd beauty.  David McCallum, for example, limps slightly, has huge hands and feet and a high forehead, but taken all together, he is breathtaking and has been his entire adult life.

James Spader is another example.  When he was younger, he was just another pretty face to me, almost indistinguishable from all the other pretty boy actors with blond hair.  His looks have improved with age to the point where, as the star of The Blacklist, he is just a big ol' piece of sexy walking across my TV screen.  And now, so is Steve Carell.

Why do men get sexier as they age???  It's not fair.

Okay, I'm done now.  Go back to what you were doing.
