Oct. 2nd, 2017 02:03 pm My heart bleeds for my second hometown, Las Vegas. I am a gun owner and I see no problem with doing background checks; they do them in New York.
The NRA and the Republican Party frame gun control and background checks as infringing on our Second Amendment rights. I disagree. They have made it easier for the mentally ill to obtain firearms. If they have their way, silencers will be easier to obtain. Can you imagine how many people would have died at that concert if the shooter had a silencer?
Our government needs to take its collective head out of its a** and deal with this issue.
