The doctor told me it went better than he had anticipated.  It certainly didn't take as long as he originally thought.  I had to wait almost five hours for her to go from Recovery to the ICU.  When I saw her she looked better than I thought she would; the whole idea of vascular surgery on an 82 year old had me hoping for the best and trying to prepare for the worst.  Thank God, the worst was not yesterday.

Thank you, Cousins, for the prayers and positive energy directed my way.  I'm sure it made a difference.  It kept me calm enough to write a picfic while I was in the waiting room.  Have laptop, will write!

Now, if I can only wrap my head around my NaNoWriMo challenge.  Oy, don't know if that's going to happen.

I hope that she will continue to heal quickly and without any stress.

Good luck with your NaNoWriMo challenge. You are a better person than I to take up such a task!

So happy to hear that things worked out.

My great aunt needed a pacemaker when she was ninety-four. She arrived at the hospital, and the nurse told her to take out her false teeth in preparation for the surgery.
"I can't," my aunt replied.
"Here, let me help you," the nurse said.
"No, really, I can't."
"I'm here to help," the nurse insisted.
"You don't understand..."
What the nurse didn't understand was that my great aunt, at ninety-four years of age, still had all her own teeth. Not removable.

Our elders are far stronger than we give them credit for. They are truly our national treasures. My prayer is that you have many more years with your treasured Mom.

"You are a better person than I to take up such a task!"

This from someone who wrote stories for cousins at the drop of a hat and a prompt! LOL!

Yeah, but that's easy! It's the length I couldn't do. I just don't have that much to say - believe it or not.
