I loved how the movie experience was made a part of the film. As someone who went to a midnight show in the Village, I thought that was cool.
I like that the movie wasn't changed dramatically. The costumes were good, Christina Milian as Magenta, the guy playing Riff Raff were awesome as was Adam Lambert as Eddie.
The Time Warp! And tap dancing Columbia!
What I didn't like:
Laverne Cox as Dr. Franknfurter. She tried, but no just...no. Franknfurter is a man channeling his inner drag queen. A transgender woman in the role just wasn't cutting it for me. I didn't care about him.
Tim Curry in the original made me love Franknfurter so much that I cry when he dies. Sometimes, I stop watching the movie right before that scene. Tim Curry's Franknfurter is so full of life and in a strange way, love, that the thought of his light being extinguished is too much for me and I can't watch. I didn't give a crap when LC's Franknfurter died.
I was watching with a friend and I said, "You know who they should have gotten to play the role? RuPaul. He's a man, he can sing and when he puts his drag on, he is fierce!
