I Am Not Happy...

 My muse has been on strike for weeks.  I started an April & Illya story that I had wanted to post on Valentine's Day.  It's still only 4 paragraphs long and I don't like 2 of them.  I have an angsty story rolling around in my head featuring Napoleon and every time I sit down to start it, I can't.  Very annoying.  I know my muse will return, but I have no idea when.

I thought it was just that I couldn't get my head to wrap around an MFU story, so I tried to think of stories in the other fandoms I write.  I got zilch, just a blank virtual page.

Writer's block sucks.

I think that sometimes our creativity just needs a rest, or a change of activity. Maybe a sketchpad for you? I know for myself when one interest is kicking in the others tend to lay back and let the current favorite just enjoy a good run at it.

My sympathies. Blockage does suck. Sometimes you just need to let the creative well refill. Reading more helps, I've found.

Sometimes I can't write, but that's because I have difficulty with my energy levels and concentration.

It must be so frustrating to have the energy to write and not be able to get it out.

Oh, the most dreaded of all conditions. My advice is not to fight it - there are times when your body just needs to shut down for a bit to refresh and regroup on the fiction front.

Write something else in the meantime - write a letter to someone, write a poem, do a stream of conscious thoughts, type up something you've been meaning to for a while or simply post here.
