Argh. The other day my cat brought in a mouse. My first inkling was him mewing at me (he doesn't usually) while I was at the computer working. I looked down to see the mouse. I think he quickly realized that I was unlikely to eat it, given history, or he realized that since it was dead I couldn't play with it (usually he brings in live mice with lots of meows and "let's play, then you can eat it! It's fresh, it's crunchy!") - So he settled in and ATE it. Right there. While I was trying to work. I could HEAR him crunching. ARGH. Then, to ice the cake in a horrible way, he'd eaten it too fast so he threw it up. I've rarely been so thankful that I don't have a sense of smell anymore. After I cleaned it up he came back looking for it and gave me a look like "I wasn't done with that, you know." A.R.G.H.
