Foolproof way to check is to remove everything except the pronoun. "He gave the report to I" sounds jarringly and obviously wrong (at least I hope so!) so it would be changed to "He gave the report to John, Susie and ME."
Another way to check is to remember that "you and I equals WE" while "you and me equals US."
