Each community has to monitor. All of mine have restricted membership but I've just rejected a bunch of membership requests. mfuwss is still open, I guess.
Uncle du Jour is moderated so I have to approve or disapprove and or ban user requests to join. So far I've had a few requests from our Russian friends.

Though MFUWSS was definitely hacked and they're using the site, though the moderator doesn't see their posts on her feed. Making their posts look like they're coming from MFUWSS. So don't comment on those posts if you see them. They may be able to get to people through the MFUWSS f-list so we may have to remove ourselves from membership temporarily. Grrrr.
Yes, I saw spam posts on both mfuwss and network_command. I don't see it on muncle, but then again, if flora couldn't see it on mfuwss I wonder if I can't see it on muncle.
Lots of other fandoms were also attacked, I've seen spam posts on sherlock and vidding comms. It seems to be an across-the-board LJ attack.
I didn't get any notification of posts to Muncle so it might be okay. I think MFUWSS was hacked and they spammed everyone on the f-lists. They used the site as a proxy to make people think the posts were really on the MFUSS...
Who knows. I think LJ is cleaning up the spam as people have said it's staring to disappear.
