I Had a Big Smile on My Face this Morning!

Lili De La Field, an author on ff.net, sent me a lovely note this morning.  Back in February, I wrote a review of her story, "The Lake of Tears Affair," in which I said it sounded like the start of a great tale and I hoped she would write it.  I was on that site the other day and saw that not only had she begun to do so, she had thanked me for inspiring her to continue!

Her original one-shot is now 22 chapters long and counting and I think it's really good.  I wrote another review after reading all the chapters and I received the aforementioned note.  In it, she told me she is halfway finished writing another MFU story and gives me credit for encouraging her!

This makes me happy.

Thanks for the rec! I've started reading her story and loving it. Why not ask her to join Section VII? She'd certainly be welcome and may enjoy the challenges. She already has the right stuff.

Well, she's posted a story for the PicFic challenge and it's a good one. SHe also friended me in LJ. Congrats for your being named as inspiration for her story. I hope she's joined and stays around to post more fics here. She's very good!

How lovely :0) Reading and writing certainly brought some light into my dark times.

If you've opened that window for someone else, I'd say that was a job very well done.

I don't like to read WIP, but I'll make a point of looking out for the story when it's finished.

Hello all. I'm still finding my way around this site, and right now it is still a little confusing, but I really appreciate the invitation to join. mrua7 told me I posted picfic challenge a few days early (oops) so I have a lot to learn. I have posted several MFU stories on the FF site, (all of them inspired initially by Alynwa's encouragement) so I am eternally grateful! The Lake of Tears (FYI) is nearing the end regretfully, just a few chapters to go. I'll be posting chapter 23 sometime today. : )
